Amanda R. Just is a freelance writer and public school teacher in Connecticut. While recovering from heavy metal toxicity caused by dental mercury, she became active in campaigning for legislation to protect children from environmental toxins such as mercury and bisphenol A (BPA). She testified about the dangers of using mercury in amalgam fillings on behalf of her students and other children at the United States Food and Drug Administration’s Dental Panel Hearings in December of 2010, and she is currently authoring a book about children’s rights.
